If you're looking for catechesis, here is Our Lady of Good Counsel's Lifelong Faith Journey schedule for this year:

Tuesday, April 24th , 2012 "Introduction to Catholic Doctrine"- An overview of the foundational teachings of the Catholic Church and the process of the organic development of Doctrine.

Tuesday - Thursday, May 22nd, 23rd & 24th , 2012 "Parish Mission by Fr. James Fryar, FSSP" - Father Fryar of the Fraternity of St. Peter will visit our parish for a three day mission on the ʻVirtue of Faith.ʻ Each lecture will be preceded by Mass.

 Tuesday, August 21st, 2012 “The Saints” – Explore the rich teaching of the communion of Saints, saintly intercession and the doctrine of Purgatory.

Tuesday, September 18th, 2012 “The Eucharist" - A deeper look at Eucharist as the 'Source and Summit' of our Faith and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 "Matrimony" - A look at the Theological and Biblical basis of Matrimony and the requirements in place for those seeking this beautiful sacrament.

* The mission of this Faith Formation program will be to provide the adults of our Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish with a review and renewal of the fundamentals of our beautiful Catholic Faith. This is in response to the call of His Holiness Benedict XVI for our "Year of Faith" and the Diocesan Roadmap seeking to establish effective adult catechesis.

Create in Me a Clean Heart

Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish will be having their Lenten Penance Service tonight at 7pm. All are welcomed to the Sacrament of Confession and prepare their hearts so that they may rise with Jesus on Easter Sunday.

A.R.M.S. of God

A.R.M.S. of God stands for Apostolate Retreat Ministry Servants of God. They currently consist of confirmed youth and young adults who plan and serve retreats. In the last seven years, they have served as the retreat team for parishes and schools across the state.

For those of you who are confirmed and are interested, the first A.R.M.S. of God meeting for the year is today at 1pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Pearl City.

Clean Up, Clean Up. Everybody Everywhere

Clean up, clean up. Everybody do your share.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish has their monthly workday on the SECOND SATURDAY of the month. You are invited to help the young adults and youth clean up our cemetery on Kamehameha Highway.

Our next clean up is this Saturday, January 14. Meet at the church at 8am and we'll carpool! Following the clean up, we will be doing a rosary in rememberance of those who have been buried there, as well as all the holy souls in Purgatory.

Christmas Eve Vigil Masses: 5pm and 8pm
Christmas Midnight Mass: 12am Midnight
Christmas Day: 6:30am, 8:30am, 11am

Also, join us for Missa de Gallo at 5am until December 24. Breakfast is to follow in the Pastoral Center.

Time to Change

Can you believe that our dream has become a reality?!! Our Pastoral Center was blessed on Tuesday, September 27. It was BEAUTIFUL! For those of you who missed it, keep reading ;) The mark of the blessing and opening of the Pastoral Center means that there will be many changes, that is, we will be going back to some old ways.

Mass times will change the weekend of October 29 and 30. The 9am Mass will change back to 8:30am. The 11:30am Mass will change back to 11am.

Also, the entrance will no longer be two-way except when the gates are closed at night.
